Sensationalism, outrage,Standing ovation?

I think its reasonable to say that recently I have said some things that have ticked off the more "free software" minded people in the audience. I think its also reasonable to say that I maybe on the opposite side of the open source debate to most of the people that use Linux. Some people even suggested it would be more socially responsible of me to lie about my thoughts on Open Source games. That is obviously not useful.

While I have 100% respect for the open source community and over 9000% respect for open source game projects. I think most are not good. I said this on last weeks .XPenguin podcast and to say the very least, it annoyed a few people. Not my intention at all! - With that in mind, I decided to get my buddy Drew (who has a similar views to me on this) and talk out the issue in very clear ways.

This video will be public on YouTube Friday morning. But for Patreon Supporters its already shared. I thought it would be nice it I also shared this potentially controversial video with those of you who take the time to visit this site. Your thoughts are MOST welcome!

I am aware that the website(s) need work. The padding is too small on Mobile Theres a bunch of links that literally dont work right now and, lets face it. It's ugly. There are some things I'm planning on update as this week goes on

I also, want to automate the adding of entries in the index page. Anyway, this is post to reassure you that I HAVE NOT forgotten to update things. It's just hard to find time for it.

Oh, And before I forget, the Visual Novel I'm working on, IS happening. Im a little sidetracked by websites at the moment but there is some sample art going up on the fridge later this week. And we have the Hex's Sausage project that I'm going to be talking about later... that should be hella fun :D

So, I have wanted a Blog for the longest time now. Ive been publishing stuff over on gopher://gopher.xpenguin.club for ages now but gopher is a long forgotten protocol now and the gopher hole way always more of a project than a working content delivery platform.

The blog portion of this site (what your are reading now) is powered by LB, it was only after I started reading about LB on a reddit post that I realised that it was a Luke Smith project. I don't agree with Mr Smith personal Politics but I do like his code. I would like to object and simply not use LB but Jekyll is SO much more work as so much heavier! i mean, It required RUBY! fucking Ruby! So for now, I'm going with it!

The landing page is a lego squish I put together by inspecting a bunch of peoples source pages.

lots will change over the next few months, but at least I got something now!
